Ants 

The black garden ant might seem like a kind of weird choice for my favourite animal, but it holds a special place in my heart. Ive always been an animal enjoyer, but this exact species got me into the world of ants and insects as a whole.

 

Getting into it has taken me to some of the most amazing places in the world and has introduced me to some amazing people, helping me to publish a paper in hopes of aiding conservation, which is also my primary goal. It may not be the prettiest or largest or most loved animal out there, but it is very special to me. :)
